In a recent interview with Swansea boss, Graham Potter, it has come out that Swansea are going to ‘respect the wishes’ of Daniel James in this Summer transfer window, something they didn’t do in January.

Following a goal and an assist Tuesday night over Brentford, the value of the Welshman is higher than ever, however, if Swansea fail to tie him to a new deal, they’re at risk of losing him on a free.

It is understood that James has his head set on Leeds United, but only if they make it to the top flight this season.

”We are pleased to have him, but you have to respect the individual and respect he has got his career to think about. All I can do is be here for him and help him,” Potter told reporters after the game.

Despite Leeds United being the club to show initial interest in the Welsh international, the likes of Everton and Newcastle have now jumped on board the bandwagon in an effort to secure his signature.
