According to the YEP, Leeds United ace Samu Saiz is ‘unsettled’ in England and wants to join a Spanish team in this up and coming window with a move looking more and more likely.
It was rumoured throughout the season that Saiz’s market value had peeked at £20 million, however the sum Leeds United are more likely to get is around the £10 million mark. It has now gone public that Saiz is pushing a move to La Liga side Getafe. Consequently, this may drop his market value even further come January, however Leeds United are not forced to sell the Spaniard who still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract.
With Izzy Brown edging closer and closer to a comeback into the first team, and Pablo Hernandez finding the form of his career, this move may not be as impactful to the Leeds United squad as first anticipated. However, it is no secret that on his day, Saiz can be one of the best players in the league, but after recently being benched for the likes of Adam Foreshaw and Pablo Herandez, and the delivery of his first child, it is clear to see why Saiz is unsettled at Leeds.
