Southampton are lining up a bid for £20-million in the Summer transfer window, for Leeds United’s holding Midfielder, Kalvin Phillips.
Kalvin is one of the many players who has come through the renowned Leeds United academy and has arguably been one of the most improved players under Marcelo Bielsa’s tutillage at Elland Road.
At just 23-years-old, it’s an interesting move from Southampton. The move will obviously be very unpopular amongst supporters at Elland Road, although it is not yet clear as to whether or not the club is considering the bid.
After selling Ronaldo Viera last summer against Bielsa’s wishes, it puts into question whether Leeds will hold on to their home-grown prodigy.
Although, if Leeds United are successful in their race to the Premier League, the bid will most definitely be declined.
