The 20-year-old Arsenal talent Eddie Nketiah has signed for Leeds United and is due to be announced in coming hours, following promotional video’s for LUTV.
The signing seems to be a short term solution to the loss of Kemar Roofe to Anderlecht. This may come as a bit of a surprise addition to the Leeds as Bristol City looked like the front runners to sign the youngster, but, Nketiah would rather be the second choice at Leeds United and work under Bielsa than be the first choice at Bristol City and work under Lee Johnson.
This will put him in good stead for the season to come as he is eager to learn and develop his craft at Leeds. Since the 2015/2016 season, Nketiah has scored 49 goals and gained 11 assists in 77 appearances – the large majority of those being at youth level. This is Nketiah’s chance to gain first-team action as he has proven his potential at youth level.
Many fans believe Nketiah to be the next Tammy Abraham, who scored 25 goals in 37 appearances for Villa last season.
Victor Orta’s relationship with Arsenal manager Unai Emery has enabled him to strike a strong relationship with Nketiah himself to whom he has pitched the idea of joining Leeds to.
