Leeds United have one of the smallest squads in the entire Championship, and are undoubtedly going to be linked with many transfers this month, however, one of the more promising looking ones is for Swiss defender, Steven Zuber.
Having little to no cover at the back has already cost Leeds United a couple times this season, however with performances dropping as of late, and results dropping with it – it is no doubt that some reinforcements will be added this month.
Bielsa has hinted at an attacking midfielder to come in, or a winger, after the shocking departure of Samu Saiz. However, Bielsa has played down any interest for a defender, saying that ”we don’t have any problems in defence”.
On the contrary to what Bielsa has hinted, it has recently come out that the links to the Swiss defender, Steven Zuber, are genuine, and have been in the works for a while now.
With Zuber being a highly regarded defender, it is obvious that the Leeds United chairman is going to have to break the bank in order to negotiate a contract with the player, who likely doesn’t want to drop to the Championship. It is likely that an extension clause will be added to the contract, if Leeds United make it to the Premiership.
