Jamal Lowe is a winger, 24, who spent his 2018/19 season playing for Portsmouth in League 1. The winger has been very impressive over the course of the season, becoming Portsmouth’s top scorer with 15 goals and 9 assists in 45 appearances.
Leeds United had declared interest in Jamal last January, however, talks never amounted to anything due to advancement’s in the negotiations with Swansea winger, Daniel James.
Pompey have put a £2-million price tag on the Englishman, making Leeds United the favourites to secure his signature this window.
If Leeds United are able to secure a deal with their world renowned coach, Marcelo Bielsa, this will be a major pull factor for Jamal Lowe, who has had interest elsewhere in the Championship this summer.
The other clubs that are showing interest in Jamal Lowe, are Cardiff and Wigan, but Leeds United are leading the race to secure the winger’s signature.
Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett is said to be keen to keep hold of the player, but if the £2-million asking price is met, a move away from Portsmouth seems inevitable.
Jackett recently confirmed that there have been no official bids for Jamal Lowe yet, but he is aware of the growing speculation.
