EXCLUSIVE: Negotiations between Swansea and Leeds are coming to an abrupt end as Daniel James drops a bombshell on Swansea by saying if negotiations aren’t successful between the clubs, he will refuse to sign a new contract with Swansea.

This means pen is likely to be put to paper any time soon as Daniel James arrives in Leeds for his medical.

The deal expected to be agreed is a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to buy at the end of the season dependent on whether or not Leeds United gain promotion to the Premier League. The fee for a permanent will be £9-million, however failure to gain promotion to the Premier League will mean James returns to his parent club – Swansea.

His wage is expected to be around £18-thousand a week paid entirely by Leeds, making him one of the higher earners at Leeds.

The announcement of the signing is likely to be Thursday evening, however, with negotiations remaining successful, it is possible that the announcement will be earlier.
