Leeds United have approached Gary Cahill’s representatives, with a move to Elland Road in the 19/20 campaign not looking too far-fetched according to FootballInsider.
Gary Cahill has said he’d be open to a move to a Championship club if it meant getting regular game time. Leeds United are favourites to win the Championship in the 19/20 season and following the recent departure of Pontus Jansson, they’re in desperate need of an experienced center-back.
Cahill is willing to take a significant pay cut in order to jump on board the Whites promotion campaign and work under the prestigious manager, Marcelo Bielsa.
If Leeds United were to sign Cahill on a free, they would be paying upwards of £30-thousand a week, however, having offloaded several players from their wage bill and having plans to offload more, it frees up room for someone of Cahill’s caliber to join the club.
